The Bible (though I rarely have time to read it or anything else).

I used to love reading, but I can’t concentrate on anything for more than a minute or two. When I did read, anything by Lisa See, especially Shanghai Girls, Dreams of Joy, and Snowflower and the Secret Fan. I like historical fiction and history. I also like some Amish fiction.

I stopped reading fiction when the author of a book I was reading killed off the main character in the final two paragraphs of the book. I felt like I was robbed. I swore I wouldn’t read again, and I didn’t for years, but I began writing my own books since then, and I do enjoy reading them.
